Run for a Position on the APVMA Executive Board

Serving on the APVMA Executive Board is a prestigious leadership opportunity and a great way to get involved with the APVMA! Executive officers serve a 1-year term that lasts from national symposium to the following year’s symposium, and the team consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Webmaster.  You are welcome and encouraged to email the current executive officers with questions about their respective position. Typical responsibilities for each position are found below.  Please read and understand your expected responsibilities before deciding to run for office.  In order to be nominated for office you must:

  1. You must attend the President's meeting held on Saturday morning during the National Symposium
  2. You must have another APVMA member nominate you
  3. You must have an adviser present in order to recommend your nomination.  If an advisor cannot be present at the symposium, you may bring a letter of recommendation on letterhead.
  4. You must follow the election rules as outlined in the constitution and will be explained during the President's Meeting.
